Thanks for your help with the down firing information, but for me,
your explanation was hard to grasp. You explained:
At temp I turn off the kiln and let it cool to about 1800. then I turn one
burner on low and open the damper so the kiln stalls at 1800. leave it for
about twenty minutes.
Then repeat this three times.
I am trying to get it, but am not clear about what you are actually
repeating three times,
You cool to 1800, stall for twenty minutes. But then, what are you
repeating? Climbing back to your peak temp would result in over firing, so
I'm only guessing here, you would simply climb out of the 1700 to 1900
zone, and then drop back down to 1800, and then repeat those series of
steps once more, to total three times.
Yes, you are correct, I am not, repeat not, the sharpest tack in the shack.\
