Did this go through this morning? I didn't see it,
so this is a re-send:

I was wondering..... No messages all week.
Here's something,
a link to a video about my new tile floor that I have been working
on for the last couple of years.
It is 120 square feet. That is a BIG project for handmade tile. The
bottle neck, why it took so long to complete, was the firing. I don't
have enough kiln shelves to stack shelf after shelf of tiles in my kiln.
Plus, I think such a tight stack might mess up the flow in my wood
fired kiln.
Anyway, I think the extruder die is pretty neat - it has a built-in
wire,
a quarter inch below the die, to slice the top off of the just extruded
clay, to reveal the colored clay marbling. If you try extruding mixed
colors of clay without cutting off the surface, you will just end up
with an unattractive smudged look.
I shot the video a promotion for the Texas Clay Festival. The are
lots of other artist demonstrations and studio tours on their channel,
so if you are frozen in and have some time check them out.
Best wishes to everyone!
