[Clayart] no smoke firing

I have always had neighbors near. I learned very early on to fire my kiln
with a great deal of oxygen. It saved on gas, smoke, pollution.
I have a bright blue flame from the very start of the firing. I find the perfect
spot where the kiln temp climbs. I control all reduction with the damper and gas pressure.
I never have smoke coming from the stack. It is just heat waves.

For years potters fired kilns with orange flame to make reduction. The wood kiln and the salt
kiln spew lots of smoke and vapor, but that is in a deep rural space. And I have closed down
the wood kiln.

I do not believe in "over reduction".
