Redart is an earthenware clay, epk is a high temp clay used
in porcelain, and high temp glazes. Melting point would be the
most important aspect.

I have gone to half and half ball clay and epk for most high temp
glazes. the cracks during drying have gone away forever.

I am sure ron or others can give you a more finite answer.
