Hi Carol - 
I don't think I'd want to eat cereal out of that one.  During my teaching
career, I had a number of students experiment with lava/volcanic/foaming
glazes.  The results were often beautiful, especially on sculptural forms,
but on pottery vessels there is always something strange about a glaze that
repels you and makes you NOT want to touch it.
