Mudd tools makes a few different sponges that are lovely for fine tuning your rims or sides….look for the white or blue kidney shaped sponges. I also use one of the triangle shaped, white make up sponge…works just as well as the mudd one, for a fraction of the price. Key is really to make sure your pot is clean before it goes to bisque.. Hi Rob,
I try to remove any "rough" areas on my pot before bisquing.
Smoothing the clay just before leather hard by using an almost dry sponge
and my fingers seems to help quite a bit. I do not like to sand, so anyway
I can avoid it, I will.
