I loved the documentary about the Russian woman animal
behaviorist that did a study on "Silver Fox". She bred
the well behaved fox' with well behaved fox. (no biting) The rest
went into the fur industry. This went on for a few years,
constant cross breeding, friendly with friendly. She was
able to bring the nice ones into her home to play with her
children like puppies. And, it was amazing, but the
coats on those foxes turned into black and silver colors.

She started the study at a fox farm, hundreds of subjects to
cross breed. And dozens of "friendly ones" to select from.

The documentaries about the history of dog's is amazing.
The "Russian Red Tracker" was considered the first in house
dog. It went after wolves. That combo with the "English setter" became
the Gold Retriever.

Of course Queen Victoria became the one that started the tiny dog
movement in the Western World.

And I love the stories how geese became the best alarm system in the
far east. they started honking if a stranger entered the house. A maid
cleaned the hallways.
I love these stories.
