i made a go pro video of my studio.
for those that are making a studio space, it does show
a real studio, a working studio.

there are many hints about the practical use of space.

the floor of my studio was made for me, for a clay studio.
it has a center water drain, with a small slanted grade to the
drain. i can spray with the garden hose the entire floor.
yes....clean clear water and it runs out a hold on the side of the studio
onto a flower bed. just wet clay.

the floor is concrete, unfinished. it has the ability to dry clay.
like snail, i use if to make large flat slabs. it is working space.
whenever you varnish, paint, epoxy a space, it does not work
for clay. a dry, absorbent flat space is wonderful for clay.

all of my counters etc are wood. i have almost no plastic surfaces.
clay sticks to plastic. i also have a very large sandstone (funeral
head stone)
that i dry clay on. by the way, the top of an electric kiln is the
most absorbent
place in your studio...that is were i put teapots etc to get the water
out of the
thicker bottoms.

i use a great deal of oiled saw dust on my floors. it is not a
substitute for
the use of water to clean the floor, but it is a stop gap for dust.

i clean my studio with lots of water.
