Hey all-
thanks to all of you who inquired about my whereabouts in relation to the
big fire out here.
i am about 30 minutes away, and the winds are blowing in the opposite
direction,
and i pretty much have the second oldest fresh water lake in between, so
all is well.
and Mel, I know the relief when an unwanted and obnoxious neighbor
finally leaves the neighborhood. the folks across the street from me,
typical california methheads,
16 year olds in 40 year old bodies, and finally gone. they were squatters,
and finally bought the property at a tax sale, which was great for us.
unfortunately for him, he bought it sight unseen, as he flips houses,
and got these folks too. they are professional house stealers,
and it took him months and lots of visits to court to have them evicted.
they are gone, and we have a very quiet neighborhood again.
Our mountain top retreat is once again peaceful. and the good feelings
and the relief at them finally being gone is indescribable
