There is a potter working in Australia who has developed a product she calls “liquid quartz sealer” that does what you want. It looks like an amazing product, crystal clear, durable, and food safe. Although I have not used it myself I have seen her demonstrate it on Instagram many times. You can order it on her website at www.madeofaustralia.com
